Ministry Updates:
“Any Christian who wants to know about the modern world should understand something about Islam,” says the UK’s Ida Glasser. And it is IMI’s mission to get that information out there. We (Daniel & Mariat) have been helping believers to understand Islam and its history and how to reach out to Muslims. We do this with the message of Salvation in Jesus Christ and ministering in Australia and overseas.
In Australia we have been conducting seminars, teaching in Bible Colleges, preaching in various churches and training various individuals and groups for evangelism among Muslims in Brisbane, Townsville, Sydney and Melbourne.
This year many believers have been blessed, equipped and encouraged to be effective witnesses for Jesus Christ among Muslims around them in Asia, various states of the USA, Canada, Trinidad and Guyana. It was encouraging to see the great zeal and interest of believers in one of the Asian countries. In spite of severe persecution, these young believers stand firm on the Truth of the Lord Jesus Christ. It was great privilege for us to impact those believers lives.
In the USA and Canada, apart from preaching, teaching and training in various churches, Bible colleges, University, high schools and mission groups on a variety of subjects, Daniel had the opportunity to record three debates with a Muslim scholar on the topics: ‘Is Islam a Threat to the West?’; ‘Salvation in Christianity’ and ‘Salvation in Islam’ for future release. The Lord opened many new doors for future ministry and impact not only in churches but also among political leaders. We also had a fruitful and blessed ministry among believers in Trinidad and Guyana.
After a long period of time we also had the opportunity to meet with Dr. Batarseh in Columbus Ohio. Dr. Batarseh had been a missionary in Pakistan for many years and was instrumental in enabling Daniel to meet the Late President of Pakistan, General Zia ul Haq in 1986, after Daniel was victimized under Pakistan’s Blasphemy Law 295C.
Apart from ministry, Daniel and his first cousin Thomas reunited after 28 years in Dallas, TX. Thomas flew specially from Pakistan for this reunion.
We thank God that He took us from place to place to share His love and grace upon our lives, ministry of IMI.
Now thanks be to God who always leads us in triumph in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place. For we are to God the fragrance of Christ among those who are being saved and among those who are perishing. For we are not, as so many, peddling the Word of god; but as of sincerity, but as from God, we speak in the sight of God in Christ. (2 Corinthians 2:14, 15 & 17).
IMI Office Update:
IMI’s office has moved from Gordon Park to 81 Mina Parade, Alderley QLD in August 2013. Cornerstone Christian Church leadership graciously made space available for IMI. We are grateful to the IMI staff for making this huge move less daunting. Still much is needed to be done to get the office workable and we desperately need volunteers to help in this process. We have at present a position available for a receptionist for one day a week (paid job). If interested, please contact the IMI office.
Hannah’s Story:
God works in various ways in and through our life. Three years ago, while ministering in San Diego, we were hosted by Pastor Jeff & Adaline. They were greatly disturbed at that time because their only daughter, Hannah was not walking with the Lord and was away from home. We joined in prayer with them for her salvation and restoration back to Jesus Christ and also to her parents. In September 2013, Pastor Jeff & Adaline attended a conference where Daniel spoke. Adaline gladly shared with Mariat the whole story of God’s goodness and faithfulness in her family. She shared that since we prayed for Hannah in her bedroom, the Lord miraculously touched Hannah and she gave her heart to the Lord Jesus Christ, was baptized and since then she is full of fire for the Lord. Hannah is totally sold out for Jesus; she is actively involved in the church and street evangelism. God is using her to bring many young people into His Kingdom. Hannah also came to hug and thank Mariat for prayers. She asked: “Did you really pray for me in my bedroom?” Praise God for answering our prayers and allowing us to stand in prayer with Hannah’s parents. By God’s grace the family is restored once again.
PRAYER POINTS
¨ For Daniel, Mariat and the IMI team; for the Lord to pour out His wisdom, discernment and anointing to teach and train believers around the globe and in Australia.
¨ For new believers in Christ around the Islamic world as they face great persecutions to stand for the Lord Jesus Christ;
¨ For the persecuted church in Islamic countries such as Pakistan, Iran, Afghanistan and Indonesia…
¨ For funds to be released for the editing, publication of the books; & 90 lectures DVD recording project.
¨ For more labourer for the great harvest field.
“And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid.
