Dear Friends and Family of Faith,
The message of Christmas is the greatest gift and the most needed message for the whole of humanity. It is the message of Peace and real Joy in this troubled world, where our lives are infested with so many problems and predicaments such as sicknesses, pestilences, wars and terrors to name a few.
The root cause of all troubles is humanity’s broken relationship with the Person – the Prince of Peace, our Lord & Saviour Jesus Christ. According to Luke 2:8-20, (The Angel announces the birth of Jesus to the Shepherds) an angel of the Lord came along with “a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying: “Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.””
The angel brought the Good News of great Joy, which is for all the people. This message of great Joy was not related to materialistic objects but to a Person – the Prince of Peace. The host of angels further clarified that this peace is [only] for those “with whom He is pleased.
Blaise Pascal, a Seventeenth Century (1623-1662) Mathematician, Philosopher, Theologian, Physicist, Scientist and a brilliant mind put it very adequately, when he said: “There is a God-shaped vacuum in the heart of each man which cannot be satisfied by any created thing but only by God the Creator, made known through Jesus Christ.”
Almost all of us run here and there to acquire certain things and when we achieve them, we are happy but such happiness only last for a short period of time. God not only cares for our greatest need of eternal life but He also provides our needs on this earth. As Deuteronomy 8:18 says: Instead, remember that the LORD your God gives you the strength to make a living. … Matthew Henry’s Commentary makes it clear that God’s giving and our getting reconcileto apply to spiritual wealth. It is our duty to get wisdom and understanding because it is God’s grace that gives wisdom, not the might of our hand, only God gives us power to get it. Therefore we must give Him the praise and glory. … All God’s gifts are in pursuance of His promises.
Our prayer for all of us is that during this Christmas time, we acknowledge the Prince of Peace—Lord Jesus Christ in every area of our lives and thank & praise Him for who He is and for all He has done for us to make us members of His Family and His co-workers so that along with the angels, we also take the Good News of great Joy to the lost souls around us.

May the Lord God Almighty fill your hearts and minds with His everlasting Love, Joy and Peace as you celebrate Christmas with your families and friends. May He continue to bless, lead and guide you all in everything you will do to glorify Him in 2018.
